Screen Time is on, and MiniMove still has access
The shield only works while Screen Time is on and MiniMove keeps its permission. Open Settings › Screen Time and check that it is on. If MiniMove's access was removed, open MiniMove: it asks for it again.
The notification can reach you
Without Turbo mode, a notification takes you from the shield to your Move. Check Settings › Notifications › MiniMove, and allow MiniMove in the Focus modes you use. Or set up Turbo mode, which skips the notification.
Your apps are picked on this iPhone
Screen Time selections belong to one iPhone. After a new iPhone, a restore or a reinstall, open MiniMove and pick your guarded apps again.
The window counts real use
A 15-minute window counts minutes spent in the app, not clock time, up to 2× that on the clock, so it can last longer than you expect. If the shield never comes back, open MiniMove once: it checks and closes any window that should have ended. Keep Background App Refresh on for MiniMove (Settings › General).
Everything is up to date
MiniMove needs iOS 26.5 or later. Update iOS and MiniMove, then restart your iPhone: a restart also restarts the Screen Time services MiniMove relies on.

How do I turn MiniMove off?
Remove apps from your guarded list, or remove MiniMove's Screen Time access in Settings, and your apps open normally again. If you switched on the optional Strict mode, turning it off takes one Move and a 10-minute delay.
Can I pause MiniMove?
Yes. Chill pauses it for 15 minutes, an hour or the rest of the day. It is free once a day and unlimited with MiniMove+.
What does the Screen Time permission allow, and is it safe?
It lets MiniMove put a shield on the apps you chose, using Apple's Screen Time API. Apple gives MiniMove opaque tokens, not your app content, and those tokens never leave your iPhone. You can remove the permission in Settings at any time.
What data leaves my iPhone?
None by default. If you create an account and turn on sync, your Move history and the labels you gave your guarded apps are synced for the web dashboard, coming soon. Screen Time tokens never leave the phone, and you can export or delete your data at any time.
How do I get a refund?
Purchases go through the App Store, so Apple handles refunds: you can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Which iPhones does MiniMove need? Is it on Android?
MiniMove needs an iPhone running iOS 26.5 or later. It is not available on Android yet.
